We’re excited to share that Trenton Jewett, a valued member of the Klopf Architecture team for over seven years, is now a licensed architect! This milestone is a testament to his dedication, skill, and passion for modern and mid-century modern design.
Trenton’s approach to architecture is all about simplicity, authenticity, and a deep connection to nature. He’s naturally drawn to clean lines, honest materials, and designs that let spaces breathe—indoors and out, some of the firm’s hallmark design expressions. His hands-on background, from building tree houses as a kid to wood and metal shops classes in school, shaped his love for craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Encouraged by his grandfather, who once dreamed of becoming an architect himself, Trenton has carried that passion forward in his work.
His expertise strengthens our team in meaningful ways. Trenton approaches design with a deep curiosity and precision, ensuring that even the smallest elements contribute to the overall harmony of a space. Whether it’s refining the precision of a post-and-beam connection or considering how light shifts through a space, he brings a level of thoughtfulness that enhances each of his projects. His fascination with how materials & components come together—whether in a timber-framed home or a perfectly engineered bike suspension—drives his passion for creating spaces that feel grounded, intentional, and connected to their surroundings.
Outside of work, Trenton finds inspiration in the outdoors—mountain biking, fishing, backpacking, and gardening—all of which influence his design philosophy. His passion for sustainability and mentorship strengthens our team, fostering collaboration and continuing to advance our collective expertise.
With Trenton’s new licensure, Klopf Architecture continues to grow, adding to the strength of our already talented team of licensed architects. Now with six licensed architects among our 18-strong design team, we are even better equipped to tackle complex, large-scale projects with confidence while strengthening our ability to push boundaries in modern and mid-century modern design with the high level of detail and craftsmanship our clients expect. We’re incredibly proud of him and can’t wait to see his continued impact on the firm. Join us in celebrating this exciting achievement!
