Last year we had the great honor of celebrating 20 years of service and success developing modern residential designs for our clients. Now in 2022, we look to continue our growth with an expanded leadership team. We are pleased to announce that Geoff Campen has joined the firm’s leadership as a Partner to help lead the firm into the future.
Building on his 14 years of service at Klopf and 28 years of architectural experience, Geoff will lead an expansion of our core business in modern residential architecture, to which he has already made significant contributions. We remain committed to modern residential design and to updating the work of Mid-Century Modern homes for the 21st century. Geoff, a practicing visual artist as well as an architect, will focus our expertise into related, more modern and contemporary architectural styles through his impassioned exploration in both art and building. Recently, he’s expanded our firm’s area of expertise to include architecture in the Northern California community of The Sea Ranch, where Geoff resides when he’s not in San Francisco. Much like the classic Eichler-designed neighborhoods, The Sea Ranch embodies a distinct design idiom embracing the dramatic environment and our connection to nature. Envisioned, designed, and constructed starting in the mid-century period, The Sea Ranch architects and landscape architects brought a characteristically unique vision of modern design to life. Geoff and his wife fell in love with that vision and Geoff looks forward to continuing/reinterpreting it for the 21st Century as one aspect of his practice going forward.
Klopf Architecture continues to dedicate itself as a firm to modern and contemporary designs that are sustainable, ecologically responsible, and promote the well-being of our clients and our environment. Geoff plans to explore similarly modern designs in a more contemporary context, practicing with different forms and structures, expanding the firm’s repertoire. With his contributions over the last 14 years Geoff has had a large hand in the development of Klopf Architecture’s design style and will continue that going forward.
