Firm History
John Klopf started Klopf Architecture in 2001. Since then, the Klopf team has prepared designs for over 400 modernist architectural projects for mostly residential clients, including 20 in The Sea Ranch.
John started the firm as a sole practitioner and hired his first employee in 2007. Geoff Campen, employee #4, and Angela Alexander, employee #5, helped John develop the firm starting in 2009 and 2011, and became partners in 2022 and 2023. In 2024 we added full service interior design capabilities. Today we are a 21-person integrated architecture and interiors firm practicing in San Francisco’s Mission District.
