Firm History

John Klopf started Klopf Architecture in 2001. Since then, the Klopf Architecture team has completed over 175 modernist architectural projects for mostly residential clients. John started the firm as a sole practitioner and hired his first employee in 2007. Geoff Campen, employee number 4, helped John develop the firm over the past dozen years, and became a partner in 2022. Today we are a 17-person team practicing in San Francisco’s Mission District.

We also have current projects in other areas: Maui, Malibu, Healdsburg, Pebble Beach, Concord, Richmond, Walnut Creek, Oakland, Pacifica, San Anselmo, Los Angeles, and Thousand Oaks.
